San Vicente
San Vicente municipality lies in the Northwestern section of the main island of Palawan. San Vicente (Poblacion) and Port Barton are the principal townships within the San Vicente municipality. The municipality has a population of less than 40,000 people comprised of about 5,000 families.
The scale of San Vicente municipality is quite breathtaking: it takes about an hour or less by motorized bangka (the traditional Philippine trimaran boat) to traverse the central bay of the municipality. The land mass of the municipality has substantial rainforest coverage surrounded by a cluster of equally verdant tropical islands with miles of deserted beaches and a number of dense mangrove swamps.
Tourist activities in the municipality include island hopping, swimming, snorkeling, diving, eco-walks, mangrove swamp tours or simply walking along a deserted beach.
