Weather
Typical of the tropics, the weather in Palawan is principally divided into a dry season and a wet season.
The dry season is during amihan (northeast monsoon) which prevails from November to early May with temperatures hovering in the early 30s or less with the mildest months being January, February and March. Most tourists visit Palawan during November to May, although those who visit during the off-season find vast expanses of beaches, and the opportunity for quiet reflection quite alluring.
The wet season runs from June to September. The rainy season is shorter and less intense in the San Vicente municipality and the Northwestern part of Palawan, with heaviest rain typically occurring around July and August. However, weather patterns have been inconsistent in the past few years with rains lingering on through December.
