Our Mission

 

Enterprise. We are dedicated to providing excellent value for money for our guests and customers in order that we build a strong and loyal customer base and generate sufficient profit to achieve our other social objectives. After return of capital investment, 100% of our profits will be retained to advancing our social enterprise and our social mission.

 

Community. The majority of the people of the San Vicente Municipality of Western Palawan consist of small farmers, fishermen and entrepreneurs and, while the area is expected to develop rapidly, these people may get marginalized and hence, not share meaningfully in the benefits of development. We aspire to improve the lives and prospects of our community members through development of opportunities for enterprise, intensive and organic farming, alternative marine occupations and skills development.

 

Nature. Palawan is a large and beautiful cluster of tropical islands and marine sanctuaries but it has suffered from logging, depletion of forest resources, over-fishing and destruction of reef and marine resources and may be irretrievably damaged by a forthcoming wave of tourism development. We aspire to become a thought leader and catalyst for action which brings together government officials, developers, community members, social enterprises and tourists to enjoy and enhance the incredible gifts of nature and wildlife with which Palawan is blessed with.

 

Insight. We believe that, while on this earth, all human beings are essentially on a path of migration and that the fullest form of self-understanding and self-realization means continually improving oneself while contributing positively to humanity and nature. We aspire to encourage all with whom we engage – our team members, our guests and customers, our partners and our community members – to in some small way advance their own self-realization.
